Dr Rijia Lin

Research Assistant
Rijia obtained his Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science from Sun Yat-sen University
(China) in 2010 and 2012 respectively. He was awarded his PhD in Chemical Engineering
from the University of Queensland in 2016. During his Master, he was working on the project of
functionalization of polymers for CO2 adsorption.

During his PhD, his research focused on the development of novel porous materials and fabrication
of high selective mixed matrix membranes for gas separation and purification.

Rijia started working at the Dow Centre as a research assistant in July 2017. He currently focuses on
developing novel processes for iron production with low CO2 emission. He is also involved in the Natural
Gas Utilisation Project and works on the design of a new membrane reactor for primary methane pyrolysis.
